What the Inc. 5000 Honor Means

The Inc. 5000 ranks independent, privately held U.S. companies by percentage revenue growth over a three-year period. For the 2026 list, companies were evaluated on revenue growth from 2022 through 2025. To qualify, businesses had to be founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2022, and remain U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent as of December 31, 2025.

In the nearly five-decade history of the list, past honorees have included Microsoft, Oracle, Patagonia, and LinkedIn — making the Inc. 5000 a proven early indicator of companies built to last.
